If you are interested in visiting the Bosque, please read through the information below as well as the general info, rules, and packing list. We ask that all visitors fill out the visitor application the first time they make a reservation. The application will give us a better idea of who you are, what your interests are, and how we can best help you to enjoy what we have to offer.
The Bosque is a great place for many types of people with different sets of goals and interests. All of our visitors are welcomed into the Bosque community, and are encouraged to engage with the space and the people while here. We are located in a rural forest setting, far from bars, night-clubs, and fancy restaurants. While we'd like to think that everyone would enjoy the Bosque Village, the fact is that we really aren't for everyone.
For some, staying here in the forest is simply a great escape from the city, some time to relax, have good company and eat healthy food. For others, a more focused stay is important. We love hosting personal retreaters who want to meditate or practice yoga in the quiet of the forest. We also host visitors who want to learn about permaculture and sustainable living. Artists and writers find our creative environment ideal for working, and fitness enthusiasts have enjoyed hiking around our trails and the nearby mountains.
We have hosted visitors who have never been to the forest before and have never eaten vegetarian food. For most it is a great experience because they come prepared to try something new. But visitors be warned, we are rustic! There are bugs. There is dirt. We spend most of our time outdoors. If you are looking for a five-star hotel or eco-resort, the Bosque Village is not for you. We are interested in hosting visitors who are active, postive and open minded people who come prepared to learn about simple, sustainable living.
Please read through the programs section to get an idea of what we have to offer.
