The climate here in Michoacán is ideal for outdoor living. While some retreat centers build large, expensive indoor spaces for guest accommodations, we prefer to have small, private spaces for sleeping. That way our guests can have a secure place for sleeping, and enjoy the shared outdoor forest space for daytime activity.
All of our huts will be examples of ecological building techniques. We are finishing up our first cob hut and adobe hut and have started building a cobwood hut. Read more about natural building here. The huts are well insulated - much warmer than our cabanas - and are ideal for one or two people.
